Maggio Prim stitchery SAL

Ecco qua il pattern free che ho scelto per il SAL di Maggio. Ci sono diversi simboli del primitive americano: la casetta o saltbox, il salice piangente, la stella e il cuore. Come le fustelle da pacchi diventano magnifiche decorazioni

Che ne dite di queste fustelle da pacchi??
Mi sto preparando al Natale per tempo, ovvero sto cominciando ad elaborare delle idee.

Le fustelle da pacchi vengono dagli USA: le ho acquistate su e-bay, sono di varie dimensioni e già invecchiate con la tecnica del tea/coffee dyeing con profumo di mango. La signora americana che me le ha vendute mi ha inviato, insieme al pacchetto due bustine di the Lipton al mango e al the verde, di un profumo strepitoso. Ho provato anch'io ad invecchiarle con la tecnica che uso per i ricami, ma con minor successo e specialmente minor profumo. Inoltre le fustelle non sono proprio così convenienti e a conti fatti quelle americane già trattate risultano comunque più economiche.

Con la tecnica del decoupage ho incollato la bambina con le ali e la signora di neve. La signora di neve in realtà è una stampa su stoffa di un disegno di Terrye French, carina vero?
Poi per abbellirle un pò ho usato:

- il german glass glitter che mi assomiglia molto a zucchero vetrificato per rendere in rilievo alcune parti come la pelliccia del cappello da babbo natale della bambina con le ali, oppure i bordi del vestito della signora di neve

- la mica flake sparsa qua e là e tutto attorno alla signora di neve per un effetto luccichente

- lo stucco per stencil, con questo ho realizzato le stelline e i fiocchi di neve. Funziona alla grande con le mascherini dello stencil. Una volta seccato può anche essere dipinto o ci si può incollare sopra del glitter

What about these altered tags?
I'm just preparing myself for xmas time, that's to say I'm having some ideas...

Tags are coming from the States: I bought them on e-bay, they came in different sizes and coffe/tea dyed with a marvolous mango smell. The nice american lady put into the tag bag also two Lipton tea bag, mango and green tea flavour, smelling soooo nicely. I tried to coffe/tea dye my own tag how I do with the stitchery but I couldn't get the same results, unfortunately!! Shipping tags are not so cheap and those coming from the States are still less expensive.
Using decoupage tecnique I altered them with the santa butterfly girl and the snowlady. The snowlady is from Terrye French and printed on fabric.

I used glitters (german glass and mika flakes) and 3D stencil pasta for stars and snowflakes.

Eh si, questa è un'altra mia passione. Mi piace creare dei template per abbellire di colore le inserzioni e-bay. Mi piace la grafica country, primitive, vintage e cerco di metterci un pò di creatività. Ecco qua il template "Lady Butterfly".

Oh, yes, this is one of my last passions. I like to create e-bay auction templates, they give colors and fantasy to auctions' description. I like country graphics, primitive graphics, vintage graphics and I try to add any time some more creativity. Here it is the "Lady Butterfly"

Uso grafica di artiste americane fenomenali che riadatto ustilizzando Paint Shop Pro in auction template, loghi per negozi e siti web, banners etc. Da queste artiste americane ho ottenuto la licenza per l'utilizzo della loro grafica per i template e i siti web.

I use graphics from extraordinary american artists. I reassemble them using Paint Shop Pro to obtain aucion template logos, store and web site logos, banners etc. I got licence to use their graphics for templates and web sites.

Qualcosa da riciclare, andando per mercatini!

Sabato pomeriggio sono andata in centro a Firenze. Sono passata da piazza dei Ciompi, mercatino permanente di cose vecchie, e ho trovato questa valigetta.

Saturday afternoon I went downtown to Florence. I stopped at Piazza dei Ciompi, permanent old stuff market place, and I found this nice little briefcase.

Conteneva un vecchio misuratore di pressione, ma a me interessava la valigetta. Ho un bel progettino per questa valigetta!!

Inside there was an old instrument for human pressure measurement, but I was interested on the briefcase only. I've in mind a nice project!

Ah! se a qualcuno interessa il misuratore di pressione, si faccia avanti!

Oggi Domenica ho fatto altri due acquisti a pochi euri al mercato antiquario della Fortezza:
- una scatoletta di latta tipo ALTOIDS, vorrei farla diventare un porta forbici da ricamo
- due sacchetti porta biancheria, quasi arrugginiti, provenienti da qualche fornitura miliatre. Ho acquistato un pattern di Terrye French con un bel Babbo Natale. Penso proprio che quei due sacchetti diventeranno dei bei sacchi di natale!!

Today I bought two more old things at the Fortezza antique market. They cost only few euros.
- a little tin box, like ALTOIDS TIN, I'd like to transform it into a stitchery scissor keeper
- two old bags, coming from the military army. I bought a Santa pattern from Terrye French. I will transform the two bags into Xmas toys bags, that's sure!!

Nuovo esperimento!

Ho iniziato un nuovo esperimento di country painting. Questo è il primo step.

I started a new country painting work, that's a first try. Here it is the first step.

Ho preso una tela da pittori (13x18cm) ed ho incollato con al tecnica del decoupage una carta con lettere in calligrafia. Ho usato una colla che avevo acquistato dala signora VittoriaVerani in una delle mostre che diversi anni fa teneva ha tenuto a Firenze. Dopo tanti anni funziona ancora ed è formidabile per incollare anche carta di dimensioni anche grandi. Niente pieguzze nè bolle!!

Ho riportato il disegno di Terry French, attalmente la mia preferita, ed ho dato la base. Mi ci sono volute più mani per coprire le scritte della carta.

Paper with calligraphy letters has been glued on a painting canvas, using the decoupage tecnique.

I transferred the pattern on it and I started with the basecoat. The pattern is from a Terrye French, the folk art painter I love. More than one basecoat is needed to cover the paper underneath.

Ho finito prim SAL Aprile!

Ecco quà! Ho finito il ricamino. Avevo un quadernino con le pagine bianche che mi faceva l'occhiolino e così, ecco come l'ho ristrutturato...un pò di feltro verde, il conigliotto ricamato etvoilà!

Here it is! My stitchery is completed. I got a little notebook that was looking at me from the shelf and here it is how I restyled it... I got some green felt, the prim bunny stitchery etvoilà!

E questo è un pò più da vicino!
