Per questo mese qualcosa di primitive, molto carino. Mi ricorda un pò il country painting di Terrye French o di Deb Richey….animali a 4 ruote! Le petit matryoshka doll

Questa è la mia bambolina matryoshka che ho preparato ieri sera in fretta e furia. Come mi succede sempre, il prototipo deve essere pensato e finito. E’ un pò che avevo questa idea: la scuola delle petit dolls insegna. Ho fatto il disegno della matryoshka, cucito la sagoma, usando per la parte superiore una stoffa a righe e per la parte inferiore un vecchio lenzuolo bianco. Ho dipinto la parte inferiore con un colore acrilico perlato (della Ferrario) e col dietro del pennello ho fatto i pois rosa fuxia. Su ogni pois ho infilato un piccolo spillo con una perlina sempre color rosa fuxia. Un bel nastrino ad ondina (ric rac) separa il vestito dal velo. Fiorellini abbellisco il viso della bambolina (nastrino acquistato da AgoMago a Firenze). E adesso veniamo al viso: è un tondino di stoffa bianco colorato con acrilico buttermilk, occhi e sfumature sono fatte a matita e poi ripassate con flesh tone mischiato a glazing medium. Per l’iride degli occhi e il bianco della pupilla, come pure per la bocca ho usato i colori acrilici

This is my matryoshka doll that I completed yesterday night. She comes out from my Le petit doll couse. It has been sevral days I was thinking about this project. This is my original design. She is made from good new and recycled cotton. The dess has been colored with yellow pearl acrylic (from Ferrario) with dots made by the back of the brush. A smal pin with a fuxia bead is put on each dot. A rica rac divide the upeer part from the bottom one. Two little nice flowers are put near the doll’s face. The face is made by a circular shape white cotton that has been colored with buttermik acrylic. Eyes and shadings have been done with pastels and flesh tone acylic mixed with glazing medium has been applied on the face. Internal part of the eyes are painted with acrylics.

Biglietti di nascita, di carta no…di stoffa si

Biglietti di nascita, ma anche biglietti di auguri per tutte le stagioni. Non sono di carta ma di stoffa. All’interno c’è una piccola tasca nella quale si può inserire un cartoncino con una augurio personalizzato. E’ stato cucito a portafoglio con la grafica di Cheryl Seslar stampata su stoffa, sempre con la mia stampante a getto d’inchiostro. Il bambino è stato poi colorato con i pastelli da stencil

Baby birth card orgift cards, suitable for all the seasons. It is not made of paper but it’s made of fabric. Inside there is a little pocket used for personal handwritten greetings. The folded card has been sewed using Cheryl Seslar graphics that have been printed on muslin using my home inkjet printer. The baby has been colored afterwards, using stencil pastels

Lo so che mi state guardando male, e che pensate che Aprile è stato quasi due mesi fa….ma adesso questa card è arrivata a destinazione da Desirèe. Aspettavo l’ispirazione, ecco tutto….

Desirèe è stata puntualissima …eccola qui! Leggete sul suo blog la tecnica utilizzata…è molto interessante e l’effetto molto carino.

Aleksandr Puskin e il country painting

La tecnica mixed media e “La figlia del Capitano” di Aleksandr Puskin hanno contribuito alla realizzazione di questo quadretto 18x13 cm (compreso la cornice).

This 7x5 inch painting is realised with the mixed media tecnique and “La figlia del Capitano” by Aleksandr Puskin.

Tempo fa ho acquistato in una bancarella dell’usato un libretto che apparteneva ad un certo Alberto nel 1954, edito da Biblioteca Universale Rizzoli al costo di centottanta lire. L’idea era di utilizzarlo per i miei progetti con le bamboline di Suzi Blu. E’ un ottimo e originale supporto, almeno secondo me, anche per il country painting. La casetta rossa è tratta dal libro di Renee Mullins “WINTER SPICE and everything nice”. Per la trasparenza, Suzi Blu insegna, ho usato un GLAZING MEDIUM della DECOART che serve per sfumare con trasparenza l’acrilico. Con le pagine del libro ho ricoperto anche la cornice per dare una certa continuità tra il disegno all’interno e la cornice stessa. Il resto è pura tecnica country painting!

Some time ago I bought and old book owened by Alberto in 1954. The cost of the book at that time was centottanta lire. I need old books for my Suzi Blu Les petit dolls projects but I think that old books are nice and clever supports for tole painting too. The red saltbox comes from Renee Mullins painting book “WINTER SPICE and everything nice”. I used the standard tole painting tecnique but transparencies have been obtined with the GLAZING MEDIUM from DECOART… Suzi Blu teaches!

The frame is covered by pages from the same book, just to maintain continuity between the inside painting and the frame itself.

L’Angelo dello Spirito, Spirit Angel les petit doll

Ieri, complice il tempo che ha completamente rovinato il nostro week end lungo (eh si oggi sono di ponte, niente lavoro!), ho pastrocchiato per tutto il pomeriggio e questo è il risultato.

Yesterday it rained all day and the bad weather completely ruined our long week end (I’m on holidays to day, miles away from work!). So I messed up all time in the afternoon and this is what it came out!

Poi ho deciso di rimpinguare un pò il mio negozietto etsy e di dare valore all’ handmade. E’ vero, è sempre difficile attribuire un valore monetario alle cose a cui dedichi tempo, passione, inventiva, creatività, ma appunto perchè in questi manufatti, handmade, c’è una parte di me non è eticamente giusto sottovalutare. Il mio valore l’ho creato comunque, che agli altri piaccia o no, o che gli altri siano disposti a spendere per un handmade.

Today I decided to increase my products on my etsy shop and give value to handmade products. It’s always hard to give a money value to handmade things you have spent a lot of time, passion, creativity….for. But since in these handmade products there is a part of myself it is not correct to undervalued them. I created value in anycase, either or not they are appreciated by somebodyelse , either or not somebody is willing to spend their money on.
