Stitchery SAL di Gennaio e pin keeper! L@@K!!

Ecco qua il pin keeper (and stitchery SAL di gennaio) che ho inviato ad Elena. Elena, avevo dimenticato di scriverti il mio indirizzo e-mail o quello del mio blog nel biglietto, scusa non ci stavo proprio con la testa! Ma sei riuscita a scovarmi lo stesso!

E' stato un esperimento primitive. I pin keeper sono fatti tutti a punto croce e volevo provare qualcosa di diverso. Per la confezione ho usato una scatola di cartone... è una scatolina di recupero che ho trovato al lavoro, conteneva dei componenti meccanici, ovvero dei pivot, provenienti da un fornitore negli USA. Appena le ho viste ho detto, ecco quelle devono essere mie, sicuramente le utilizzarò per qualcosa in una delle mie prossime vite craft (ne avrò una sessantina!). Ed ecco è venuta l'occasione....Ho ricoperto le due facce con il mollettone per cappe aspiranti che ho coperto ulteriormente con ua stoffina americana di Honey&Me con pecorelle (sempre in tema!) sul dietro e col ricamo stitchery sul davanti. Il bordo della scatolina è stato ricoperto di stoffa e poi con del nastrino con i cuoricini acquistato in uno shop online in UK. Non essendo la scatola sufficientemente rigida ma allo stesso tempo indurita dalla stoffa, ho avuto un pò di difficoltà nell'infilare gli aghi. Ah, dimenticavo, il fiocco l'ho realizzato con lana ecologica. Beh, mi sono divertati assai a realizzarlo!

Here it is the pin keeper I realised for the S. Valentine pin keeper swap. It is also the January prim stitchery SAL. I sent it to Elena.

It has been a primitive experiment, pin keeper are usually made using ceoss stitch and I wanted to relise something different. It is a stand up pin keeper, I used a little cardstock box I found at work. It was a shipping container for mechanical components, pivots coming from one USA manufacturer. When I saw them I thought...those boxes have to be mine, I will do some crafting with them one day! And that day arrived (I have more than fifty left) and I realised the pin keepr for Elena!
The two faces of the box are covered with filter layer for cooker hood and then covered with a nice Honey&Me fabric with sheeps on the back and the stitchery on the front side. The border of the box is covered by fabric as well and then by cream red hearts ribbon from an on-line shop in UK . However I had some difficulties in putting in the pins because of the lateral side of the box was not stiff enough and was even more hard because of the fabric. The white ribbon is made with natural wool.
I had real fun in making this pin keeper!
