Primitive Stitchery SAL 2010

Il Primitive Stitchery SAL ci sarà anche quest’anno!

Chiunque può partecipare, non importa iscriversi, copiate il logo, inseritelo nel vostro blog con il link al mio (grazie!) e aspettate fiduciosi il pattern free del mese. Lo potete realizzare nel mese oppure metterlo da parte e usarlo in un altro momento, potete usare tutta la vostra fantasia per realizzare oggetti creativi  con lo stitchery. Se volete potete mandarmi i vostri lavori che poi pubblicherò sul blog.

The Primitive Stitchery SAL is still  running in 2010!

Everybody can join the SAL, it doesn’t need a subscription, just copy the logo and insert it into your blog with the link to my blog (thanks!) and faithfully wait for a new free pattern every month. You can realise it within the month or just keep it and do it later, you can use your expertise and fantasy to realise creative craft with the stitchery. If you like to send to me pictures of your stitchery works, I will be glad to post them here.

Se qualcuno di voi si vuole cimentare con un suo disegno stitchery o se siete già dei disegnatori esperti, mandatemi una mail per proporre il disegno per il SAL (gratis, ovviamente!)  ed uno di questi mesi troverà la sua collocazione.

Uova patchwork….

Avete dei pezzetti di stoffa da riutilizzare?

Cucite insieme delle strisce di stoffa per formare un rettangolo, con la colla riposizionabile fissate il mollettone o il batting per quilt sul dietro della stoffa e cucite a macchina con punti da ricamo a piacere lungo i bordi tra due stoffe diverse. Fate combaciare dritto contro dritto la stoffa patchwork e un dietro a piacere. Realizzate un template a forma di uovo con del cartoncino e trasferite la forma sulla stoffa, cucite a macchina. Fate un taglio orizzontale sul dietro a circa metà altezza. Usate l’apertura per rigirare l’uovo e poi se vi piace insudiciatelo a piacere col caffè solubile, direttamente sulla stoffa umida. Riempite l’uovo con l’imbottitura e ricucite l’apertura con punti a croce.

e anche questo suggerimento per imbottire i cuscini. Io lotto sempre con l'imbottitura, specialmente se di oggetti di una certa dimensione e mi sono chiesta come fanno a non avere quegli odiosi bitorzoli sui cuscini, ecco qua:

"Per riepire i vostri cuscini senza avere bitorzoli, semplicemente ritagliate l'imbottitura da quilt per due volte la lunghezza del cuscino, piegatela in due e inseritela dentro la stoffa. Quindi riempite il cuscino inserendo all'interno di questa busta morbidal'imbottitura. Il cuscino sarà liscio e grazioso, funziona!"

"To fill your pillows without getting lumps simply cut some quilting batting twice the length of your pillow, fold in half and insert into sewn fabric. Then stuff the "batting envelope" with the fluff and it'll come out smooth and sweet! It really does work too!"
