In questo giro di blog tutte noi del design team vi mostreremo le nostre realizzazioni che utilizzeranno tutte lo stesso soggetto, un nuovo timbro di Treacy Moreau chiamato Sugar Skull, carino vero?
We will all be showing you a project we made using this months new stamp designed by Tracy Moreau, called Sugar Skull, isn't it cute?
Ora vi mostrerò il mio progetto.
This is my project.
Ho stampato il timbro su carta acquerellabile. Ho stampato lo stesso timbro su carta cerata e ho ritagliato le roselline. Ho accartocciato la carta cerata per creare delle grinze. Ho colorato le roselline sulla carta acquerellabile e ho incollato sopra quelle realizzata su carta cerata. Con un cotton fioc ho passato del gessetto rosso per mettere in evidenza le grinze.
I stamped the skull on watercolor paper. I stamped also on wax paper and cut the little roses out. I crushed the small pieces of wax paper to get wrinkles. I red colored the roses on the watercolor paper and glued over the ones on wax paper. With a q-tip I highlighted the wrinkles with a bright red chalk.
Ho poi colorato e sfumato il teschio con le matite acquerellabili. Con acrilico bianco ho messo in evidenza i denti del teschio. Ho rifinito con vernice vetrificante da decoupage utilizzando una spatola.
Then I colored and shaded the skull with watercolo pencils. With some white acrylic paint I highligheted the teeth of the skull. At the end I coated with water base vetrifying varnish, using a spatula.
E questo è l'oggetto finito!
This is how I finished my skull project!
Ho ritagliato un pezzo di cartone ondulato un po' più grande del teschio, l'ho rifinita con gesso acrilico e garza. Ho lasciato asciugare bene.
Ho incollato il teschio sul cartone ondulato e il cartone su una piccola scatola quadrata ricoperta da carta da musica e garza invecchiata nel caffè.
Nel mio cassetto degli oggetti smarriti ho trovato qualche vecchia perlina, una vecchia maniglia e una formina da dolcetti di metallo. Per invecchiare la formina ho passato con una soatola del gesso acrilico, ho lasciato asciugare e poi ho utilizzato un tampone per timbri Stazone marrone scuro e marrone chiaro sulle zone in rilievo.
Ho incollato la scatolina sulla formina rovesciata e la maniglia sulla parte superiore della scatolina.
I cut a piece of wavy cardstock a little bit bigger than the skull, I coated with gesso and cheese cloth and let it dry well.
I glued the skull onto the wavy cardstock and the cardstock onto a small squared paper box covered with music paper and coffe dyed cheese cloth.
Nuzzling in my old stuff drawer, I got some old beads, an old handle and a metal cookie mold. I coated the mold with gesso and let it dry very well. Then I apply the dark brown and light brown Stazone ink pad directly on the external side of the mold for an old age look.
